

The History of Convent Of Jesus And Mary High School
The Convent of Jesus and Mary Girls' High School, Vadodara, established in 1996 by the Provincial Society of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary, a Christian minority institution, aims primarily at the education of the Catholic community and the preservation of Catholic faith and practices.
Preference in the admission to the school will be given to Catholic children. Admission will, however, be open to children of other communities without distinction of caste or creed.With a view of preserving our Catholic faith, classes in religion will be conducted and it will be obligatory for Catholic children to attend these classes.

The Red House is named after Mahatmai Gandhi, father of our nation, who dedicated his life to satya and ahimsa. The motto of this house is TRUTH AND AHIMSA.
The Green House is named after Mother Teresa, the saint of the dying and the destitute. The motto of this house is "PRAYER AND CHARITY".
The Yellow House is named after St. Claudine Thevenet, the foundress of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary. The motto of this house is "HOW GOOD GOD IS", the last words of St. Claudine Thevenet.
The Blue House is named after Rabindranath Tagore, the great poet, writer and educationist, and the first Indian to be awarded the noble prize. The motto of this house is WISDOM.
